Marijuana Helping Kids With Debilitating Diseases
More and more families are beginning to turn to marijuana for help for their children. While we praise all of the results of these findings, we must hesitate before diving head first into a, possible, shallow pool. There has been very little study on marijuana itself, let alone on it’s effects on children. What we do know is that marijuana usage in teenage boys could delay puberty because of THC’s effects on the mind. Young girls find a similar fate; studies show that marijuana may disturb their period and throw off their monthly cycles.
The video below from ABC News shows the medicinal value of weed, and if studied correctly, we have a great natural remedy on our side. It could be useful in preventing and helping children cope with diseases that impact their lives. Further study is needed before anyone can guarantee that marijuana doesn’t have long term negative effects on a maturing mind, but if it can help a child in any way then research is a must.
